What is the SIMI?
SIMI is a landmark event for the protagonists of the real estate industry in France.
It presents real estate opportunities, located in France, for offices, logistics and business, and commercial properties in both town centres and retail parks. It also addresses current and future developments in the real estate ecosystem, notably with the deployment of digital services in buildings.
Connected Buildings & Territories (CBT) Forum :
When Covid-19 boosts the digitalisation strategy of the real estate industry
Who runs the digital transformation strategy for your company? Covid-19.
This joke circulated on social networks for a while, but it reveals the industry’s low degree of digitalisation.
Blocked transactions awaiting electronic signature, business lagging because of the inability to convert physical visits into virtual visits, due-diligence slowed while awaiting online organisation, processing of administrative authorisations delayed due to urban planning services lacking digital tools, etc. In short, lockdown, imposed for 6 weeks, revealed shortcomings in the real estate industry and sent a number of those involved back to the stone age.
Undoubtedly, the post-health crisis will see an acceleration in the digitalisation of real estate operators and all those, public and private, who collaborate on urban development.
The Connected Buildings & Territories Forum provides an opportunity to revisit the challenges of the broader digitalisation of an essential part of the French economy, but also to offer real solutions and innovations that meet the needs of citizens while respecting their fundamental liberties.
For this 19th edition, and for the fourth year running, SIMI will host the Connected Buildings & Territories Forum. This is a fantastic opportunity for the construction, energy and IT sectors, as well as for the real estate industry and regional authorities, to leverage the profound technological transformation underway.
