gathered together at this the 16th SIMI 2017, which focused on
the future stakes of transforming commercial real estate.
Affluence, influence, innovation, enthusiasm, young talent, are just some of the words that spring to mind to describe the latest SIMI show that has just closed its doors at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.
All the economic indicators are on green for a property market that is faring strongly and already benefiting from the start of a new cycle of growth.
The 16th SIMI show clearly reflected the MOMENTUM in the market with the convergence of CSR and digital technology, two key factors transforming the sector.
It was at the first Connected Buildings & Territories Forum and the plenary session of Thursday December 7, entitled “Connected Buildings and Territories, the promise of a new model for living together”, that Julien Denormandie, Secretary of State for territorial cohesion, presented and signed the charter “Connected buildings, solidarity and humanity in buildings” with the Smart Buildings Alliance for Smart Cities (SBA), the Alliance HQE-GBC, and more than 60 players from the Smart building and Smart city ecosystem.
With more than 110 conferences and debates organized into 9 conference tracks, SIMI 2017 was rich with subjects of substance – artificial intelligence; real estate, money laundering and financing terrorism; inclusive buildings and towns; new sources of value; hospitality and lifestyle transforming property; and lifestyle, wellbeing, strategic commitment to CSR. To list just a few of the topics animating debates.
